Aquagation offers several versions of the AquaDrip Stake. Stakes are an important assembly component and work together with an emitter, micro-tubing, and drip stake. The function of the stake is to hold the position of the irrigation tubing and allow better penetration into the media supporting the crop's root zone.
The BARB PEG STAKE pushes into the drip irrigation tubing, while the SNAP PEG STAKE is designed to hold the outside of the tubing for full port flow and no restriction of the inner diameter of the tubing. Both stakes offer a 30-Degree diagonal bend for kink-free positioning in the growing media.
BARB PEG STAKES guide irrigation water through groves to ensure good penetration through the substrate surface and down into the media.
SNAP PEG STAKES hold the tubing without reducing the inner diameter. They offer a viewing window for easy monitoring during irrigation. Stakes are channeled to ensure water flows not only on top of the media but penetrates the surface.
Stakes are approximately 6-inches long and should be placed at a depth of approximately 3-inches into the substrate to ensure secure positioning and to prevent roots from growing into the stake.
The tip of both stakes is solid to allow tubing to be plugged if necessary. No need to zip tie, crimp, or otherwise choke flow. Simply remove the stake, flip it around, and fit the solid point into the 5/3 micro tubing for a secure plug
