BotaniGard MAXX Mycoinsecticide

 BotaniGard MAXX Mycoinsecticide combines the biological insect control of Beauveria bassiana Strain GHA with the fast knockdown of natural pyrethrins to provide broad-spectrum control of many common greenhouse and nursery pests. This dual-mode formulation is designed for integrated pest management (IPM) programs, helping growers manage insect populations while reducing the risk of resistance associated with repeated use of a single mode of action.

BotaniGard MAXX controls a wide range of insects, including whiteflies, aphids, thrips, spider mites, psyllids, mealybugs, leafhoppers, weevils, plant bugs, borers, leaf-feeding insects, grasshoppers, Mormon crickets, locusts, and beetles. Applications should begin at the first sign of pest activity for the best results.

The naturally occurring Beauveria bassiana fungus attaches to the insect, germinates, and penetrates the insect's outer cuticle before growing internally and causing mortality. Natural pyrethrins provide rapid knockdown by disrupting normal nerve function, delivering immediate activity while the biological component continues working over the following several days. Under typical conditions, noticeable control is observed within 2 to 5 days, although results depend on pest pressure, application timing, coverage, and environmental conditions.

For maximum effectiveness, apply BotaniGard MAXX before heavy infestations develop and incorporate it into a regular scouting and IPM program. Applications made during the early morning or evening can improve biological performance by reducing ultraviolet exposure and may lessen impacts on pollinators.
